Discendenti Pezzillo in USA

Pubblichiamo due foto che ci sono state inviate da Paula Rothermel. Sua madre, Eleonora Maria Pezzillo, è nata negli USA ma entrambi i genitori erano laurentini. Non è mai stata a San Lorenzo Maggiore.
La prima foto pubblicata risale al 1916 circa e ritrae Eleonora Maria Pezzillo (la bambina più piccola), insieme ai suoi familiari.
La seconda foto invece si riferisce alla riunione della famiglia Pezzillo che è stata organizzata nel giugno 2009. Eleonora Maria Pezzillo è la signora arzilla, con i capelli grigi, in seconda fila.

Hi I have just came across the photo of my family Elenora Pizzelli she is the daughter of Angelina Tommasiello daughter of Lorenzo Tommasiello of San lorenzo Maggiore she married Maruzo Pizzello in San Lorenzo Maggiore I beleive they came to America between 1900 and 1909 proud to see my family connected once again with the mother country ITALIA.

it was wonderful seeing the pezzillo family photo on this website and so nice to see betty ann's comments.
the scenes of san lorenzo are beautiful and i enjoyed the video very much. it makes me wish i had travelled to the land from which my parents came .

2009 marks 100th year since you and his son Joseph Franisco Tommasiellog left San Lorenzo Maggiore in 1909 to attent the wedding of his son my Grandfather Alfred Tomaselli, Francisco and Joseph spent Christmas on the ship to America, they arrived at the port of Philadelphia, the family was waiting at the port in New York there was mix up about where the ship was docking, Francisco and Joseph started to walk into an unknown land a man dilivering milk stoppd and then gave a ride to France are Liberio house, Francisco did not have The Milk Man in winter coat Francisco gave his coat, the weather was very cold Francisco had gotten sick and died after being in America only 2 weeks, the son Joseph never returned to his home land his brothers had him live with them, also on the very cold Winter of 1909 Elenora Pizzella also gotten sick and died at Elenora Francisco and thee are both buried in same cemetery grave Philadelphia Most Holy Redemier Cetery on Richmond Street, I often wonder what may have taken place if Francisco lived and returned to his beautiful San Lorenzo ,the first time I visited the village I said what a beautiful place ,I knew then why the family spoke of San Lorenzo as if it was there home ,my Grandfather discribed the village perfectly and I love San Lorenzo as my family did , what a wonderful village

Hello,
I am trying to find information on my grandfather (louis) and my great grandfather (michele). They
emigated to America around 1890. My grandfather also had two sisters ,Fiorentina and Angelene. I believe
that they came from San Lorenzo Maggiore Benevento.
